Season & Tickets

Mr. Balanchine said, "The music is always first," and it was his reverence for music that became the driving force of New York City Ballet's creative spirit. In this vein, I've programmed the 2012-13 Season to include three festivals that celebrate our unique musical heritage:

STRAVINSKY/BALANCHINE The Collaboration (September 18-30)
TSCHAIKOVSKY Celebration (January  15-27 & February 13-24)
AMERICAN MUSIC Festival (April 30-May 19)

Alongside these nine weeks of festival programming, we have an additional seven weeks of performances. In total, 65 ballets will be performed to the music of nearly 50 composers, a feat that could be compared to most symphony orchestras.

Our annual holiday run of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker begins on November 23 running through December 30. Tickets go on sale on Monday, September 24, so be sure to mark your calendars.

Off of the stage we have a also host of Public Programs, many of which are free, that will enhance and enrich your New York CIty Ballet experience.

We look forward to sharing this special season with you.
