Join the artists of New York City Ballet in an exploration of the music, movement, and themes of the treasured holiday classic George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®. This one-hour workshop is especially designed for children with physical disabilities and movement disorders (including Dystonia, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and others). Under the guidance of a medical professional, each participating child will be paired with a volunteer medical student “buddy” who will offer assistance with mobility and stability throughout the workshop. Siblings are encouraged to participate.
Clothing that is comfortable to move in.
This workshop is free of charge but reservations are required. Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once registered, you will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire providing more information on how we can best meet the needs of your child.
