Join the artists of New York City Ballet in an exploration of the music, movement, and themes of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®. This 90-minute workshop is especially designed for teens and adults with physical disabilities and movement disorders (including Dystonia, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and others). NYCB dancers lead participants through a ballet-based warm-up and movement combinations inspired by this treasured holiday classic. No prior dance experience needed.
Clothing that is comfortable to move in. Ballet shoes are optional.
This workshop is free of charge but reservations are required. Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once registered, you will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire providing more information on how we can best meet your needs.
