Samuel Melnikov

Samuel Melnikov is a member of New York City Ballet’s corps de ballet. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Mr. Melnikov began his ballet training at the age of 6 at various schools throughout Southern California. In 2011, he began studying at Westside Ballet with Seth Belliston and, beginning in 2014, at the Colburn School’s Trudl Zipper Dance Institute and Colburn Dance Academy under former NYCB Principal Dancers Jenifer Ringer and James Fayette. He attended summer courses at the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet, in 2016 and 2017 before entering SAB as a full-time student in 2017. He was named an apprentice with New York City Ballet in August 2019 and joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in August 2021.
