Winter highlights NYCB’s evolution by introducing favorites from Jerome Robbins and continues the journey through our 75-year history with later works from integral in-house choreographers Peter Martins, Christopher Wheeldon, and Justin Peck. An NYCB season wouldn’t be complete without new entries to the repertory, and the winter welcomes world premieres from Tiler Peck and Alexei Ratmansky, the former choreographing her first ballet for the NYCB stage and the latter creating his first work since joining the Company as artist in residence. As special treats, the late former Principal Dancer and Repertory Director Albert Evans’ 2005 pas de deux In a Landscape is being revived for the anniversary occasion, and acclaimed TV, film, and stage actor Terrence Mann joins the cast of Wheeldon’s Carnival of the Animals as a guest artist in the dual role of Narrator/Elephant.
