Spring Gala

May 5, 2021

New York City Ballet will welcome the season with one of our most important fundraising events, the 2021 Spring Gala: From Our Home to Yours. We are pleased to invite you to join us virtually on the evening of Wednesday, May 5 at 7 PM EDT.

The special gala program will be filmed at our home at the David H. Koch Theater, which has been vacant of its creative forces for nearly a year, and will feature a World Premiere by NYCB Resident Choreographer Justin Peck, who is creating a solo work for Principal Dancer Anthony Huxley set to Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings, as well as excerpts of landmark ballets created by our Co-Founding Choreographers George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. While we won’t be gathered together to experience these beautiful works in person, the cinematography will present these repertory favorites in a new and intimate light. The evening will also include a live virtual celebration with NYCB dancers and other Company artists who will join you and your guests in your own virtual rooms.

We hope you will join the Benefit Committee in support of this evening celebrating the Company in this challenging moment. Support the event by Friday, March 12, and your generosity will be recognized within the gala Benefit Committee on the printed invitation.* Your commitment to the Company at this time will help sustain us as we await our full return to Lincoln Center.
