Spring Gala

Thursday, May 2, 2019

New York City Ballet will welcome the season with an annual favorite: the 2019 Spring Gala. Join us and our newly appointed Artistic Leadership team, Artistic Director Jonathan Stafford and Associate Artistic Director Wendy Whelan, as we celebrate both the rich history and the bright future of NYCB.

The onstage program will bring two exciting world premieres to our stage as well as an exhilarating classic from the Company's renowned repertory. The first will be a new ballet from NYCB Resident Choreographer and Artistic Advisor Justin Peck. The second premiere will be a new piece created especially for this evening by contemporary choreographer Pam Tanowitz in her first work with the Company. Closing the program will be George Balanchine's dazzling and timeless Tschaikovsky Suite No. 3

The gala evening will begin with an elegant cocktail reception by Ruinart Champagne at 5:30 PM, followed by the performance at 7 PM, and will conclude with a glittering black-tie Supper Ball on the Promenade of the David H. Koch Theater with dancers from the Company in attendance.
